moosewood fudge brownies

Last night, we needed something sweet after our dinner (sandwiches!), so I went to my old standby favorite, Moosewood Restaurant Cooks at Home cookbook’s brownie recipe. It’s easy to make and it turns out perfect everytime*. I added lots of walnuts in my version, cuz that’s how I roll!

*Okay, the only time they didn’t come out stellar was when Cornelius wasn’t paying attention to the recipe and used an entire cup of butter instead. We ate it up anyway and it still wasn’t horrible.

It’s one of the simplest brownie recipes, but also the best! I also love the Moosewood 5-minute chocolate cake recipe in the same book. It is delicious and has the added benefit of being vegan.

true. i think the fact that it’s so easy to make is why i make it so often! i also love the vegan chocolate cake recipe in that book. i usually turn it into cupcakes and it’s extra easy too!

These are SO good! Why in the world did I spend my whole life using mixes?! I used whole wheat flour (I don’t use white anymore) and they came out amazing. An easy way to get a healthy dessert!
